Job Responsibilities and Requirements: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage aspects of patent and trademark portfolio, including reviewing correspondence, organizing electronic files, tracking deadlines, and sending instructions to outside counsel Assist with IP litigation matters including reviewing drafts and locating documents for discovery Manage and improve processes for intake and tracking invention disclosures Compose, proofread and edit correspondence, presentations and other legal documents Manage the U.S. patent award program and track quarterly payments Manage annuity payments through third party vendor CPI Review and track vendor invoices and budgets for IP Schedule meetings and appointments relating to patents and trademarks Conduct legal research and collate information as requested by attorneys Delivers exceptional service support to internal and external customers Skills/Requirements QUALIFICATIONS College degree 4 years IP paralegal experience at a law firm and/or corporate in-house experience Experience with IP litigation and discovery process in the U.S. is preferred Proficiency with the MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) applications. Exceptional written and oral communication skills Self-starter with creative problem solving ability Demonstrated experience working independently to identify, analyze, and solve problems. Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters confidentially, expeditiously, proactively and follows through on tasks until successful completion. Skilled and experienced in the art of organization and time management to juggle multiple priorities with competing deadlines. Solid judgment, tact, and diplomacy skills in dealing with internal and external customers as well the ability to handle highly confidential and proprietary information. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to last-minute changes while maintaining poise and a positive can do attitude.
