Job Responsibilities and Requirements: This role will be responsible for testing our Music Store on web/mobile devices. You will own the development and executions of test plans and test cases for multiple features of an application You will develop and maintain testing strategies, including manual and automation testing. You will ensure comprehensive test coverage by working closely with the product and engineering teams to prioritize testing execution and report on test execution progress and results. You will participate in design and specification reviews, and use this information to design test plans. You will promote QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practices. You will promote a culture of quality throughout the organization. You will interact and collaborate with the other development groups within the Amazon group of companies. Basic Qualifications A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science and 3 years of experience as Developer or SDET. Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis Experience developing test automation tools and frameworks. Experience with functional, performance and stress testing for web applications and back end services at scale. Experience developing high quality test strategies and test automation. Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills and an ability to come up with creative solutions to impossible-to-solve problems. Experience with Java, Python and JavaScript a plus. Preferred Qualifications Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills (Java preferably on a UNIX or Linux platform). Strong exposure with Selenium and Appium framework. Knowledge of Perl or other scripting languages a plus. Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases. Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly. Coding experience with automation framework, tools and services for mobile. Experience in API testing. Understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle and processes. Shows creativity and initiative to improve product coverage and effectiveness.
