Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Reporting to the Client Program Supervisor, primary responsibilities include: Preparing U.S. and global applications for trademark and service mark registration as well as ancillary prosecution and maintenance filings. Preparing trademark record title update filings. Assisting with trademark due diligence. Preparing and analyzing on-line preliminary trademark clearance searches and prepares search guides. Preparing applications for copyright registrations. Preparing correspondence to clients and local counsel regarding trademark prosecution and maintenance issues. Docketing and performing record-keeping for all aspects of the clients portfolio. Bachelor s Degree or paralegal legal certificate with a minimum of five years experience handling all aspects of trademark prosecution, extensive knowledge of USPTO rules and procedures and working knowledge of the national laws of other countries preferred. Proficiency with electronic research tools, and USPTO trademark filing systems is necessary as well as experience in utilizing computerized docketing systems (such as CPi) and MS Office suite. Ideal candidate will have the ability to work in an organized, efficient manner under minimal supervision, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, together with the ability to manage multiple priorities and track extensive detail. Overtime may be required, occasionally on short notice.
