Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The candidate shall also be expected to use Primavera, create and/or modify schedule methodologies for site preparation, engineering, testing, and commissioning of projects within the National Airspace System. This position requires interactions with the FAA program office, contractor project managers, and FAA project implementation managers in the service areas and Planning and Requirements specialists in the field to monitor and report on project schedules and financial status, and help the FAA complete their projects. The candidate shall also facilitate issue resolution between program offices and engineering services and troubleshoot planning and implementation issues. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications Have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering: Architecture, Civil Engineering or Construction Management/Administration Have at least 5 years of experience in an engineering discipline related to construction of infrastructure or facilities Experience managing or working on construction projects through both planning and execution phases Ability to prepare and provide technical briefing packages for management Ability to track and report costs, schedule, and technical performance on projects and help identify potential issues at the program and project levels Participate in meetings to discuss project execution, schedules, technical performance, and provide recommendations for improvements, as appropriate. Experience in conducting research on specified topics, determining conclusions, and presenting the results in a logical and concise manner Experience reviewing and drafting Project Scope Agreements (PjSAs) and SOWs Experience in reviewing and comparing reports and summarizing them for upper management Ability to organize and gather data, conduct analysis, prepare reports and organized documentation without assistance Ability to work both individually and as a part of a specialized team that handles various aspects of project management and coordinate the work if needed. Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with MS Office (Work, Excel), MS Project and other office productivity tools Experience with Engineering and CAD tools like: AutoCAD, Pro-Engineer 2000i, Revit, AECOsim, and Micro Station. Desired Skills A Master s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Construction Management/Administration 10 years of experience with design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure or facilities Experience working on FAA projects Experience using Project Management principles for managing construction projects Experience using Lean Construction methodologies Ability to develop Project Management Plans (PMPs) and establish scheduling reports Experience with tracking Earned Value Management (EVM) on projects Experience in conducting effective technical presentations to management and tactful coordination with a variety of project stakeholders Active Engineering or Arch License/Registration Skilled in the use of database management and project management software like Oracle/Primavera Schedule software.
