Job Responsibilities and Requirements: We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications and skills: ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee engineering services for construction services for client in field office, studies, design and office services during construction Monitoring of construction contractor progress, use of materials, installation of approved equipment and piping and schedule materials testing Respond to contractor s requests for interpretations as well as evaluate contractor s suggestions for minor changes to contract requirements; review contractor s progress schedules, certificates and operations and maintenance manuals Document construction progress through reports; conduct monthly progress meeting and prepare meeting summaries; maintain project files and prepare and process change orders QUALIFICATIONS Education: minimum Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management Experience: 15 years in construction management, field engineering or resident engineering Certification: PE preferred, CCM/CMIT preferred Professional/Technical: Independent worker capable of exercising independent judgment and evaluation. Excellent organization and documentation skills. Ability to read and understand critical path method (CPM) schedules. Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures associated with concrete, mechanical systems and other construction materials. Knowledge of construction management information systems/databases; proficient in Primavera P6 Contract Management Software. Leadership: Leads meetings and resolves conflict. Directs and provides coaching to the project team in ensuring construction quality, schedule, and cost performance, or monitoring thereof in agency roles. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES.
