Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Duties and Responsibilities: Planning and Design Transportation Highway project. Development of Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&E). Preparation of design and analysis reports. Compute Aided Design and Drafting Quantity Take Offs and Construction Cost Estimating. Perform Site Visit Other Duties assigned. Job Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering from an accredited University or College. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of related experience in Transportation design. Experience in engineering development using Bentley Microstation. Proficient in MicroStation, Geopak, Open Roads or InRoads Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and with others. Preferred Qualifications Engineer-in-training (EIT) or an Engineer Intern (EI) designation is preferred. Applied knowledge and understanding with TxDOT Design. Applied knowledge and understanding with City of Houston Design Familiarity with the Manual of Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) or AASHTO Green Book. Proficiency in ArcGIS; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF-editing programs is preferred. Excellent academic record with coursework and/or internship directly related to transportation infrastructure.
