Remedial Construction Project Manager

Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Primary responsibilities will include project development, management and delivery. Candidates must have a proven track record of executing and managing environmental consulting and construction services for the private sector. Candidate will work closely with strong technical experts and other leaders around the company to deliver design-build projects in the remediation industry. Job Expectations: Work closely with senior technical staff and client service managers to manage and deliver a variety of soil/groundwater remediation projects Further relationships with existing clients and help develop business opportunities with new and existing clients by efficient and safe delivery of design-build projects Mentor junior project managers and work with both technical and business development staff to develop and guide project delivery strategy Stay abreast of local and national regulations and educate senior staff and clients on new opportunities and new technologies Work independently, exercising professional judgment to develop recommended solutions that meet client expectations and goals Support clients in negotiations with regulatory agencies, where necessary Ensure quality client services, and clarity of work products and projects while promoting and integrating companywide initiatives and values Participate in improving company resources and utilize tools to improve design production and efficiency Prepare and make presentations to clients and for professional meetings Direct the work of others and coordinate with other disciplines during design and delivery of projects Position may include responsibilities such as supervising, delegating and overseeing the work of technical staff and engineers Desired Skills and Experience: BS and a minimum of 10 years of civil/environmental engineering and construction experience. Professional engineer (PE) registration, in good standing, or ability to obtain within 12 months. Demonstrated track record of managing and delivering project in the remediation construction industry including civil projects, ISS, groundwater treatment system DBO and in-situ remedies. Capable of producing high quality products on schedule and within budgets. Experienced in project cost estimating, risk evaluation/management, material/services procurement, subcontracting, request-for-proposal development and associated negotiations. Work within chem/petrochem and refinery environments a plus. Candidate should be knowledgeable with hydrogeology, contaminant fate and transport, environmental rules and regulations. Capable of learning and working with BC s WorkSmart management program. Candidate should be able to pursue, win and execute work in a team setting with a diverse team of engineers, scientists and geologists. Strong project management, organizational and technical skills required. Strong verbal and written (technical writing) communication skills required. Periodic travel for up to a week at a time is anticipated. Candidate should be highly responsive, capable of working in a diverse team environment and handling multiple tasks with competing priorities. Candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude, will be flexible and self-motivated, creative and quality-oriented and will possess an attention to detail. Must have a proven record of working with existing clients and delivering those projects successfully, profitably, and to the client s satisfaction. Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record.
