Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities will include: -Management of Land O Lakes domestic and international trademark portfolio, including searches, trademark prosecution, enforcement, licensing, registration and transactional support -Review advertising materials for claims clearance and compliance with applicable laws and brand requirements; provide legal advice on sweepstakes and contests, including drafting rules; provide strategic advice and review of digital/social/mobile marketing programs -Advise clients on social media issues, including disclosure requirements and endorsement guidelines -Counsel clients on trademark, copyright, and rights of publicity and privacy matters -Partner with communications teams on press releases and consumer, financial and media communications, as well as ensuring compliance with disclosure requirements, applicable laws, and brand standardsRequired Experience & Education:Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited U.S. law school and license to practice in at least one state, preferably Minnesota, with a minimum of 5 to 7 years related experience in a law firm or corporate setting.Required Competencies & Other Skills:-Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills with proven success in building internal and external partnerships. -Outstanding written and verbal communication skills -Ability to be a strategic partner and trusted advisor for national and global business clients. -Ability to find practical solutions to business challenges. -Ability to participate effectively and constructively as a member of a team. -Comfortable handling a wide variety of matters, including issues in new, unchartered territory. -Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and tasks; flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines. -Strong negotiation skills. -Must exercise sound judgment, be able to work efficiently under time pressures and deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding environment. -Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams. -Excellent academic credentials. Preferred Experience & Education:International trademark experience a plus.
