Job Responsibilities and Requirements: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the day to day actuarial support for Westchester Programs through managing two or three actuarial analysts. Tasks include - Evaluating the profitability of existing programs and communicating findings to both internal and external parties. Delivering timely and informative quarterly program assessments to management. Providing monthly price monitor reports. Working closely with program managers to evaluate new program opportunities, making the most of the information provided through various actuarial methodologies. Providing data and analytics to support reinsurance treaty renewals. Working closely with the Finance group on the annual planning process, providing loss ratio projections and planning documents as needed by Corporate Actuarial. Supporting annual reserve reviews completed by the Reserving group by providing requested information as well as feedback on results, and clearly communicating those results to Programs management. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 8 years actuarial experience in P&C insurance; Associateship/Fellowship in either Casualty Actuarial Society or equivalent international actuarial body; Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide clear and concise verbal and written communications to non-actuarial business leaders.
