Job Responsibilities and Requirements: This person will perform a variety of duties on a day to day basis including development, code, and peer reviews, escalated mainframe production and defect support and troubleshooting, mainframe application maintenance, remediation activities and may include one or more of the following: Acts as a lead in providing mainframe application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign mainframe production processes. Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code. Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of the developed code/jobs to production. Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan. Explore new data, conduct data research Provide client s liaison Able to exchange data between different platforms Perform multi-tasking with strict due-dates Support the data collection processes from various Systems of Records installed in mainframe production, as well as in an On-Demand environment by verifying availability of the data, and reviewing and enhancing the audit process Support the Adhoc Reporting by completing client s data requests Be able to work independently and as a team player Required Qualifications: 7+ years of application development and implementation experience 7+ years of mainframe experience 7+ years of Cobol experience 7+ years of DB2 experience 5+ years of SQL or SAS experience Desired Qualifications: Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment Ability to address and resolve complex customer issues Ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects or large scale individual projects Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology delivery various aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle 7+ years of Network Data Mover (NDM) experience 6+ years of CA Top Secret experience A BS/BA degree or higher Ability to work on call as assigned Job Expectations: Ability to work on call as assigned.
