Job Responsibilities and Requirements: As a Back End Software Engineer on CSP, you will be working on storage systems and APIs to support compelling patient experiences, and safe, usable doctor/clinician applications. You will be responsible for data integrity, processing data at scale, serving content to the frontends, integrations with internal and external systems, and end-to-end testing. You will be working closely with other engineers, product managers, as well as clinical, operational and regulatory experts. Our team combines expertise in biology, chemistry, physics, medicine, engineering, computer science, and more to create interventions that exponentially improve patient care. We partner with leading life sciences, medical device and government organizations to enable fast development, meaningful advances, and deployment at scale. Our work spans many projects, including Project Baseline, the quest to map human health beginning with a 10,000 person observational study; Liftware, stabilizing utensil handles to aid individuals with hand tremor or limited mobility; and Debug, an effort to eradicate mosquito-borne disease with Sterile Insect Technique. For more information, please visit our website. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software. Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables. Design, implement and launch highly-visible, partner and end user-facing features. Design and develop large scale web applications. Qualifications Minimum qualifications: BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience. Experience in API development, Java and/or C . Experience with Javascript, AJAX, HTML and CSS. Experience in web application development. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field. Experience developing user-facing software. Experience with data integrations, MapReduce, API security and integration testing. Familiarity with web stack, including protocols and web server optimization techniques.
