Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Essential Functions: Perform heavy volume of trademark and copyright clearance searches. Assist with all aspects of trademark prosecution, trademark opposition and infringement matters, domain name registrations and IP enforcement. Review products, catalogs and marketing materials for IP issues. Assist business partners in development and use of standard terms, conditions and disclosures for marketing and promotions. Assist in review of new marketing campaigns; prepare additional disclosures as needed. Maintain hard and electronic files for all IP matters and standardized marketing terms and conditions. Assist with additional projects as needed. Support growth of global IP program. Draft non-disclosure and other form agreements. Must be available to work on site at J. Crew s headquarters full-time. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience: Bachelor s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate. Minimum of 5 years experience as a paralegal, in-house and/or with a law firm. In-house experience a plus. Experience with USPTO online portals. Experience with internet research techniques. Skills & Abilities Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, sound judgment and discretion. Strong organizational skills. Must be able to work independently. Ability to work effectively with other departments, to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines with consistent high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Must be a team player, self-motivating, collaborative, and energetic.
