Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Financial Associate will report monthly financial results for the Great Lakes marketsagainst quarterly forecasts and the annual operating plan to support both management decision making and/or communication to internal or external stakeholders. The incumbent will also assist in the development of the quarterly forecasts. Fundamental Components: - Analyze and present monthly financial results relative to the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts to the Health Plan CFO and the Market President. - Assist in the development of the quarterly forecasts. - Conduct analysis and/or produce reports on an ad hoc basis for the strategic needs of the market. - Isolate business underperformance/issues and recommend possible solutions to mitigate. - Partner with market finance teams, actuarial, underwriting, medical economics, and market team to help drive results and business initiatives. BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired: - Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required. - at least 2 years of finance related experience; in healthcare, strongly desired - Strong analytic and technical skills desired. - Must have excellent communication skills. EDUCATION The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
