Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities: Supports various work streams related to external global financial reporting by coordinating with different business units, working directly with global accountants, external auditors and various groups in corporate accounting. Prepares reports and financial statements utilizing a broad knowledge of global accounting principles. Assists the external auditors by partnering with the business to provide documentation and insight to various account balances. Creates effective financial statement schedules, audit support schedules and other reports in a timely manner, highlighting potential issues for management attention. Makes suggestions to improve the business value and efficiency of the work performed and collaborates with the team on evaluating and implementing suggestions. Actively participates in increasingly complex department projects and continuous improvement activities. Assists in the documentation of internal controls and performs assigned internal control processes. Identifies issues and assists in resolving them. Learns how data flows through global financial systems to the accounting function in order to be able to identify issues and take action to address them. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree (Finance or Accounting) is required along with a working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word. Must demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously to achieve results. Must be able to communicate effectively with teammates, collaborate to solve problems, and raise issues and concerns in a variety of settings including business meetings. An internship or relevant finance experience, US GAAP knowledge, IFRS knowledge or Spanish Speaking skills is preferred.
