The AVP assists the Vice President for IT in the strategic management and direction of all IT programs, services and policies. This position directs and manages the day to day operations of the Network and Telecom Infrastructures, the Helpdesk Services/Call Center and establishes work priorities of subordinates and peers in meeting deadlines of on-going projects. The AVP also serves as the technical lead for the College s blended learning initiative. The qualified candidate will have experience supervising a campus-wide IT helpdesk and managing multifaceted projects including budget development. Knowledge of large, complex enterprise networks and telecommunication technologies as it relates to a campus environment is essential. In addition to excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the successful candidate will also have the ability to negotiate complex contracts. Expertise in designing, implementing, and administration over a large, complex enterprise network and security knowledge as it relates to remote secure access is desired. A bachelor s degree in a business or information technology related field plus 7 years of experience including 5 years of experience administrating large enterprise networks is required. Qualified candidates should complete the BSC application.
