The Patent Attorney position is located at NASA Glenn Research Center, Office of Chief Counsel, in Cleveland, Ohio. This is a developmental opportunity for attorneys interested in practicing Patent Law on behalf of NASA. If selected, you will work under the guidance of the Senior Patent Attorney to support the full range of patent prosecution; you will also prepare and file patent applications and all pertinent legal documents, such as drawings, amendments, affidavits, advocacy before Patent Examiners, interference statements, motions, stipulations, petitions, and appeal briefs. You will also support the agency s efforts to license agency inventions. This position is in the excepted service and exempt from competitive appointment procedures. It is excluded from provisions of the Career Transition (CTAP) and Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP).
