Together, we are on a quest to change banking for good. Senior Cloud Engineer - Platform Automation (AWS) Do you have an unstoppable drive and desire to automate everything? Capital One is actively seeking highly creative and intellectually curious Engineers who are passionate about automation to join our team! This is an opportunity to display knowledge of your craft by having a hand in building large scale reliable applications to impact the way that Capital One does business. You will participate in detailed technical design, development and implementation of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. Working within an Agile environment, you will actively participate in story planning and detailed daily standups, while providing input for architectural design decisions, and automating infrastructure, builds, and tests to meet story acceptance criteria. You will have the opportunity to continuously develop technical knowledge and skills on multiple platforms, and educate team members on the capabilities and constraints of technologies. You will be an integral part in advancing the culture of technical excellence within Capital One, and creating experiences to delight millions of customers! Responsibilities & Skills: Automate everything Continuously learn new technologies Engineer and maintain a multi-region multi-provider container PaaS using Docker, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc Build automated monitoring, alerting and dashboard capabilities for CICD processes, production KPIs and other metrics Pilot and implement new and emerging CI/CD/DevOps technologies like CircleCI, Drone, etc Proficient in Docker and familiar with relevant technologies such as AWS ECS, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Nomad Familiarity with Configuration Management Professional experience consuming CI/CD Professional experience managing AWS cloud resources High proficiency in using Git to manage source code Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree or military experience At least 3 years of professional experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java or Go At least 1 year of experience with Linux Shell scripting Preferred Qualifications: 1 years of experience using following: CloudWatch, Splunk, ELK Stack, Zabbix, OverOps 1 years of experience using.
