Position Summary: Provides support to the Development department with expansion, renovation and construction. Provides technical expertise to help coordinate the design process and manage all on-site construction activities. Act as a resource by providing technical advice and direction as required by mall operations and tenant coordination. Core Functions and/or Organization Functions: Monitors the construction activities at all construction renovations, expansions and additions Verifies that design documents are in compliance with Owners Design Criteria Manual and project programs Other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications include the following: Bachelors degree in Construction, Engineering , Construction Management or related design field 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the industry with at least 5 of those years in retail construction project. Ability to understand construction documents and to analyze design changes required due to field conditions or scope revisions. Strong working knowledge of construction methods and materials. Strong working knowledge of scheduling and budgeting construction projects. Effective communication skills and a demonstrated understanding of budget limitations, cost control and construction management. Good estimating abilities.
