Role Purpose Support the Americas Chief of Staff (Americas CoS) to provide high quality support to the Chief Compliance Officer, BI Americas (Americas CCO) and IHC in his oversight of regulated activities undertaken by the businesses in the IHC, CUSO and Americas region Key Accountabilities Support the Americas CoS in the implementation and maintenance of an effective Compliance operating model in the Americas, while also recognising alignment to Global BI CoS team, thereby also supporting the broader BI Compliance team Provide guidance and support to the Americas Heads of each Business and Infrastructure Compliance areas as each establishes and executes the Americas Compliance Program that meets the Group, IHC and regional regulatory expectations Summarize and highlight monthly and quarterly management information and conduct risk reporting for various management forums, legal entity boards and regulators Participate, as needed, in management meetings by providing minutes and action items Support the department by streamlining and simplifying processes including re-defining roles & responsibilities, as well as documenting engagement principles. Ability to design, implement and evolve efficient business processes Can interpret complex problems and concepts and apply the understanding to achieve practical goals Able to take own initiative and are solutions focused Experienced in delivering successful change projects Has an open, direct and honest operating style Demonstrates a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach but able to adapt to changing requirements and able to deal with ambiguity. Review, edit, distribute and/or formulate Compliance communications Stakeholder Management and Leadership Maintain effective relationships and deal openly with all key stakeholders, taking into account the needs of all stakeholders and taking decisions which, in the long term, are positive for customers and clients, shareholders, colleagues and the communities in which operates Decision Making and Problem Solving Enhance the quality and consistency of information, reporting and communications through a robust check and challenge of data, ensuring deliverables are fit for purpose Analysis of data, both internal and external to provide comprehensive information for decision making Clear understanding of bank processes Person Specification Basic Qualifications Bachelor s degree or international equivalent 5 years project management related experience in the financial services industry Preferred Qualifications/Skills Strong motivational, organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to manage and resolve difficult issues in a professional, assertive and proactive manner while remaining sensitive to business needs Strong engagement skills including the ability to relate to colleagues across multiple areas of the bank and our broader global counterparts Strong people skills with the ability of achieving cross-functional cooperation Able to regularly drive to meet varying and at time competing governance deadlines Confident and concise communication skills (verbal and written). Capable of distilling complex concepts and effectively conveying them to people of varying seniority levels internally and externally Self starter with the ability to meet or exceed deadlines, prioritise, multi-task and maintain flexibility in fast-paced, changing environment Demonstrates strong attention to detail and excellent work product.
