Energy Efficiency Analyst

Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Job Duties: Conduct in-field energy audits and analysis Model, and review models, that analyze energy use in buildings in compliance with program guidelines Document modeling assumptions and results Perform field inspections to verify installation of energy efficiency measures Provide analysis of building energy use through post-processing of model outputs and utility billing data Participate in energy design charrettes, propose energy efficient alternatives to design teams and advise on how to integrate energy-efficient measures Produce high-quality technical reports suitable for both technical and lay audiences Interact with utility managers, energy consultants, HERS Raters, architects, developers and owners Required Experience Bachelor's degree or a minimum of two years of related experience Knowledgeable about building science, energy efficiency principles and practice, including field diagnostic methods, or home performance assessment (BPI Building Analyst and Multifamily Analyst, preferred) Knowledgeable about building energy simulation software such as EnergyPro, CBECC-Res, CBECC-Com, TREAT, eQuest, DOE-2, Energy Plus, BeOpt, or others Experience in residential construction, retrofit, or related fields (multifamily experience preferred) Knowledgeable of residential energy codes, particularly Title 24 Part 6 (CEA, or CA HERS rater preferred) Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, work both independently and collaboratively, and communicate effectively Demonstrated attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency in database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications U.S. Citizenship or green card Driver s license required; position entails travel, primarily in Northern California.
