Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Construction Project Manager provides the management and leadership to effectively lead, support, coordinate and manage construction and remodel projects of varying degree of complexity. Takes projects from design through completion, providing advice and assistance to all levels of staff and management groups to facilitate resource planning and meet regulatory requirements. Determines support, direction and/or strategies necessary to solve significant problems related to successful project completion. Provides regular schedule and budget updates indicating project performance. Manages other facility related building improvements and compliance documentation as needed. Education: B.A. / B.S. requieredExperience:3 years of actual construction management experience required Direct experience with OSHPD required.1-3 years of progressive construction project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Evidence of experience which defines competency in construction management. Evidence of experience in successful administration and leadership of organizational management programs.Skills / Abilities / KnowledgeAbility to ensure operational efficiency, problem solve and make decisions, and exercise self-control and tolerate stress when dealing with multiple requests and/or conflicting demands from multiple customers. Requires knowledge, ability and judgment necessary to: exercise judgment within the guidelines of the construction management process, department policy and licensure practice act. Ability to sustain direction under minimal supervision, in assessing needs, directing staff and carrying out departmental and professional responsibilities; self-starting and self-motivating; working hours may exceed eight (8) hours per day and is based on what is needed to accomplish work at hand.
