The Executive Director - Global Marketing Services will lead the Global Marketing Services sourcing and procurement teams. The individual will lead the strategy development of sourcing, global category management, contract management, risk management, stakeholder management, and supplier value management for approximately $1.8B in annual Marketing services - i.e., creative / advertising, media, market research, exhibits, public relations, contract sales, contact centers and patient access programs related spend and customer centricity initiatives. The selected leader will develop and maintain strong relationships with key leaders in Global Human Health, Global Services and other corporate functions and will serve as a member of the Indirect Sourcing & Operations Leadership team and as a key partner of appropriate senior stakeholder leadership teams. This role will manage the relationship with regional and local procurement stakeholders, whether directly or indirectly and will serve as a transformational leader in partnering with business stakeholders to drive sustainable change and innovation throughout the organization. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Leadership - As a key leader of a $1.8B category of spend, responsible to develop then implement sourcing strategy and ensure alignment, compliance and delivery of required business performance while leading and leveraging the Supply Strategy Council (SSC) framework. - Sourcing & Procurement Leadership - Provide the leadership, strategy and policy for the function building a high performance engagement model with the business and regions. - Organizational Development - Build a core team of high quality procurement professionals who have direct responsibility for sourcing and projects. Responsible for effective implementation of building a high performing team in alignment with performance management initiatives. - Process - Realize sourcing management, supplier value management, risk management, supplier diversity and SAP as core sustainable processes and enablers of delivery. - Performance - Deliver ongoing savings and value as required, as well as meeting the stakeholder business requirements. - Relationships - Build outstanding relationships with stakeholders which are oriented to meeting their business needs. - Change Management - Adopt high quality change practices with customers and stakeholders, building and implementing an organization which is sustainable. Be a personal exemplar of the Leadership Standards. - Global - Ensure that the approach adopted is aligned with and supports global sourcing strategy and Global Category Management and Ways of Working. - Sourcing & Procurement - Serves as a leader and exemplar of Sourcing Management and Global Category Management as a member of the Indirect Sourcing Procurement & Operations Leadership Team. - Diversity - Actively support diversity, both within as well as expanding relationships and spend with Diverse Suppliers. - Supplier Value Management - Implements Supplier Value Management with the key suppliers in this category to foster innovation, drive supplier performance, establish a Governance Model, and ensure continuous improvement. QUALIFICATIONS Education Requirement: - REQUIRED: Bachelors in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field PREFERRED: MBA or advanced degree Required: - 10-15 years procurement and business management experience - Knowledge of procurement related business processes - Cultural awareness and sensitivity required - Demonstration of solid leadership capabilities at the Senior Manager level, with particular strengths in collaboration, written and verbal communications, and cross functional teamwork. - Ability to influence - Customer focused - Proven ability to build a high performing team with a focus on developing employees. - Ability to make rapid disciplined decisions Preferred: - Marketing / Agency experience desirable Your role at is integral to helping the world meet new breakthroughs that affect generations to come, and we're counting on your skills and inventiveness to help make meaningful contributions to global medical advancement.
