Job Responsibilities and Requirements: This position will lead a Finance/Accounting team to assist leadership in making educated economic decisions about the company s operations, budgets, expenses and growth. Responsible for all accounting operations, including the production of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls to mitigate risk and enhance financial accuracies. Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following: Supervise and oversee the development of a 4 person Finance/Accounting group Partner with the President and work with executive leadership to develop intermediate and long-term growth strategies and offer strategic recommendationsProvide analysis and recommendations for deals and participate in negotiations with retailers and licensees. Oversee the review of licensing contracts and preparation of financial models to support deal negotiationsFull P&L responsibility, variance analysis, B/S review and G/L close for the global Consumer Products business across the markets including North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific regions Prepare and/or review financial statements and management reports on monthly, quarterly and annual basis Assist operations and other department heads to create, monitor, and modify budgets Manage A/R and Agents to ensure timely collection of guarantees and royaltiesCoordinate with the Legal department and assist in key deal negotiations and contract reviews Serve as Finance representative during licensee audits, make recommendations to settle audit findings Partner with internal and external clients in order to foster relationships and assist with inquiriesMaintain records in accordance with company policy and GAAP The successful candidate will possess at least 10 years in financial management coupled with a track record in partnering with business teams to drive results. This person would have experience working in a consumer products environment, ideally with an entertainment studio, supplier/wholesaler, retailer or well-known consumer brand. S/He should have strong team and leadership management skills and will be a strategic, integral part of our team. Other key personal characteristics will include: Operational finance experience leading budgeting and financial planning and analysis processesExperience with deal structuring and contract negotiations Track record of simplifying / modernizing Financial Reporting process and systems; including the ability to implement new systems and tools to drive growth Experience managing, mentoring and motivating teams Considerable understanding of accounting principles and accounting functions. Global experience or exposure is a plus as well as a foreign language Bachelor degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related degree MBA preferred.
