Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Lead a team of statisticians and quantitative experts that are responsible for: scenario Development , setting and tuning the thresholds of AML scenarios, segmentation, Random Client Analysis (MRA related), preparing ongoing metrics and providing insight based on them. You supervise data-driven analysis and prepare the reports. You must drive quality, reliability and usability of all work products. Evaluate and refine the statistical methods and procedures used to obtain data in order to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy. Ensure proper documentation of all project work and respond to Internal Audit, Compliance Testing and Regulator s questions. Innovate and generate new ideas, concepts and models to improve methods of obtaining and evaluating quantitative and qualitative data. Identify relationships and trends in data, as well as any factors that could affect the results of research. Question and validate assumptions and status quo. Escalate identified risks and sensitive areas in terms of methodology and processes. Think outside the box and look for new methods to constantly improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the AML Detection, Monitoring and Operations systems and processes used in Citi. Maintain an industry leading knowledge of the tools, systems and processes available for best in class AML Detection and Monitoring Operations. Qualifications Knowledge/Experience: Must have: - 6 years plus of work related experience - Experience in the area of statistical/quantitative methods, preferably in AML world - Strong understanding on quantitative methods, with ability of explaining the results to non- technical audience - Project management experience, including identification and escalation of risks - Highly-skilled and good working knowledge of SAS, & MS Office Suite. Experience using R and Big Data is a plus. - Experience in reporting the results of analysis in clear written form, and in presenting the findings during meetings and conference calls - Team working experience (demonstrated team player ability required) - Understanding of technical requirements, ability to communicate with Technical Support - Ability to manipulate data using SQL or equivalent - Bachelor s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or Technical/Science field of study Desirable: - Experience with data exploration - Mantas and AML monitoring systems experience or other transaction monitoring systems a plus. - Knowledge of the local/regional laws and regulations applicable to anti-money laundering a plus. - Previous experience with financial services companies (retail banking, small business banking, commercial, institutional, private banking) - Knowledge of any programming language or dedicated statistical software would be an advantage - Previous experience in managing a Team Skills: - Ability to work on compiling priorities and effectively multitask - Must have: Statistical/data analytical skills - including both calculation and interpretation of outcome - Methodical analysis and problem-solving skills - Initiative, creativity and attention to detail are essential - Ability to discuss reasoning, critical assessment of facts and opinions; ability of giving answers and arguments - Conceptual and creative thinking (outside the box) - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, through all levels of the organization and through different business units - Self-motivated with high desire of self-development and learning - Ability to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and holidays as determined by the business needs. -Flexibility will be expected. Competencies: - Very good written and verbal communication ability. Ability to express thoughts and concepts clearly. - Teamwork: Ability to work well with a variety of people and to show team-player attitude regardless the scope of responsibilities. - Creativity: Provide input into the innovation of new and enhanced approaches. Having initiative and a proactive attitude.
