Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The role will develop and implement a strong communications strategy that supports the Chicago Technology Operating Councils objectives. 5-7 years experience in a communications, marketing or related role. Very good written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated success developing messages, providing communications counsel to senior management teams, and executing communications plans. Organized project manager and multi-tasker, comfortable in a deadline-driven, fast-paced. environment. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Must be organized and detail-oriented. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work on teams, across lines of business and with all levels of the organization. Consultative approach with the ability to interact, influence and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Demonstrate exceptional professionalism and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deliver strong results within tight timeframes. Must be able to demonstrate speed and adaptability, especially with writing and editing on the fly. Must be able to get up to speed quickly on the business and its priorities. Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications. BA/BS degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related degree is preferred.
