Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Job Summary: Responsible for fiber and coaxial network construction and maintenance. Performs plant aerial and underground construction, maintenance and troubleshooting, in accordance with safety regulations, and company policies and procedures. Completes work assignments independently or with minimal supervision/guidance. Projects require problem resolution using standard policies and procedures. Has developed specialized knowledge/skills in own area. May act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Qualification Requirements: a. Education: Bachelor Degree or 15 or more years of Telecommunications experience. b. Experience Level: 10 years relevant experience required (including HFC Construction/Maintenance experience) is required. Experience in all phases of aerial and underground coaxial and fiber plant construction, CWDM, DWDM, and RFoG installation and maintenance. 5 years of supervisory experience. c. Advanced training in technical or engineering areas is required. Knowledge of basic fundamental drafting is required. Knowledge of CATV distribution systems is required. d. Must have basic P.C. skills, Excel and Access programs. e. Must possess and maintain a valid driver s license. f. Good oral and written communication skills as well as good organizational skills. Must be able to interact with interdepartmental staff, customers and outside workers. Ability to work overtime, as needed. g. The ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
