Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities: Work closely with FAE investment teams to deeply understand critical investment issues Creatively answer those issue using data science and identifying, acquiring and manipulating diverse data sets. Utilize advanced computational techniques to capture investment insight from large unstructured data sets. Apply statistical & predictive modeling techniques to analyze large data sets. Prepare & visualize the analysis to investment teams Scale the investment conclusions across Active Equities Personal Characteristics: Investment Analytical Rigor: Understands the fundamental investment process and what drives investments. Strong programming experience, detailed oriented and ability to synthesize large data sets Results Driven: Passionate about applying technology to transform the asset management industry. Demonstrated experience to overcome obstacles to achieve goals. Invents and delivers best-in-class standards and performance. Strategic thinking: Develops insights that have shaped team strategy and improved business/investment performance. Intellectually curious with ability to identify obscure data that is unique and useful. Out-of-box thinker whose ideas challenge the status-quo and other players in the industry Leadership: Actively engages the team to develop plans and resolve issues through collaboration. Self-starter, creative and works efficiently Teamwork and collaboration: Present & communicate ideas in a concise manner across investment teams. Qualifications, Skills & Experience: 5-10 years experience in equities Strong programming experience in Python, R, or MATLAB Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research using large data sets with strong analytical/problem solving skills Understanding of financial markets and big data Graduate or Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics Experience with neural networks and TensorFlow a plus.
