Job Responsibilities and Requirements: As the Marketing Lead at Verily Life Sciences, you are a fully dedicated strategic leader, shaping the corporate brand and the future of our groundbreaking products. You develop corporate and product brand strategy, shaping the brand narrative and evolving the brand hierarchy as new projects and programs come online. From determining positioning, naming, and working with the UX and product teams on competitive analysis and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations governing the marketing of medical products. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Product Development, Engineering, PR, Legal, Policy and more. You conceptualize and drive campaigns in support of both the corporate and product brands, directing and producing design work for internal and external marketing application through digital/online and offline channels, including event marketing. The Verily Life Sciences team is focused on helping to move healthcare from reactive to proactive. Combining expertise from the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, medicine, electrical engineering, computer science, we re developing new technology tools for physicians that can integrate easily into daily life and help transform the detection, prevention, and management of disease. Current projects in development include a smart contact lens with miniaturized glucose sensor; a nanodiagnostics platform to help with early detection of disease; and Liftware utensils for people with tremor. Responsibilities Develop marketing strategy and storytelling for Verily s developmental and marketed products and projects; support partner marketing organizations with input on go-to-market planning. Transform data and research into insights that drive product and positioning strategies. Develop and execute brand marketing campaigns, working closely with internal stakeholders and creative agencies to push the boundaries on brand and digital marketing; coordinate and direct paid and owned promotional programs. Build and refine our brand voice, look and feel, and personality, and champion it across the global marketing team and agency partners. Take on special brand projects as needed. Work with product teams to develop and maintain marketing resources and key assets that are required for products (e.g. brochures, websites, videos, etc.). Conduct market research activities to identify market needs and help to specify product requirements. Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders relevant to the company s business. Qualifications Minimum qualifications: BA/BS degree or relevant work experience in advertising sales, marketing, consulting, or media or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of marketing experience or sales experience in the healthcare, medical device or biopharmaceutical industry. Experience in the medical device business, including the development and commercialization process, regulatory process, manufacturing, and rules governing promotion and sale of medical devices. Preferred qualifications: Track record of effectively delivering large-scale projects in very fast-moving environment. Ability to influence at all levels and work effectively across functions and geographies Startup mentality: ability to navigate ambiguity and experience in building programs from the ground-up. Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Outstanding written and oral communication skills and aggressive attention to detail. Strong executive presence and comfort working with executive stakeholders to gather input, develop a point-of-view and action plan, secure cross-functional buy-in and drive execution. Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment with limited direction, balance competing priorities and manage several time-sensitive projects at once.
