Job Responsibilities and Requirements: In addition, the accountable for directly or indirectly overseeing administrative staff, staff assessment and mentoring. The along with the respective physician chairs, is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing, integrating, monitoring and managing the financial activities of Clinic Health System. Some of the more specific CFO activities and responsibilities include working with the site and enterprise leaders on: operating and capital budgets for locations, leading the month-end and quarter-end financial close activities, collaborating with finance service line leaders (i.e. revenue cycle, supply chain, contracting and payer relations, and financial and accounting services) on establishing service line expectations and coordinating service line activities, assisting site leadership in weekly strategic initiatives serving as a key partner to the executive team, and leading the Finance Team engagement on the Epic implementation, as we meet key milestones and target dates. In addition to the CFO responsibilities, this position will be responsible for driving performance improvement within MCHS and overtime, across the enterprise. Additional key responsibilities will include: leading the financial assessment of the identified area for improvement (initial priority will be our Community Practice/ Clinic Health System), developing a turnaround strategy and projections, identify quick wins, determine the go-forward operating model, implementation, governance and on-going monitoring. This position will utilize and teach process improvement techniques, such as LEAN/Six Sigma. Direct reports may include Financial Performance Improvement Vice Chair and manager positions. QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree in business or healthcare administration is required or a commitment to completion within one year. CPA preferred. Minimum of ten years of finance experience; 10 or more years of which must be in successive leadership roles across multiple assignments. Experience working with Physician Leaders required, hospital preferred.
