Job Responsibilities and Requirements: GENERAL SUMMARY: Assists Land Development Manager in managing all activities pertaining to actual land development. Prepares necessary documentation and spreadsheets to allow purchase and start-up of new projects and tracking of on-going projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares detailed take-offs of all work activities and material quantities to allow cost estimate to be prepared for prospective projects. Prepares bid specs for each request for proposal on new projects. Solicits bids and prepares bid analyses upon receipt. Prepares contract documents for each subcontractor. Reviews subcontractors invoices to ensure contract compliance. Assists in minor engineering designs as required to correct problems on site, including gathering field data. Sets up new projects in database(s) and produces purchase orders for active sites. Inspects unimproved land and work in progress in all conditions. Senior position generally has more experience and has greater responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements JOB SPECIFICATIONS: College graduate, with degree in engineering, architecture, construction or planning preferred. At least 2 years of experience in construction and/or development with knowledge of engineering drawings and setting schedules for development. Proficient in computer. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Position may require flexible work hours and some travel.
